TERMS & CONDITIONS
- The contest is open to all Malaysians between the ages of 17 and 21 years old, except employees of BERJAYA University College of Hospitality (Berjaya UCH), advertising and sales promotion agencies and members of their immediate families.
- Participants receiving scholarships/financial assistance/bursaries from other bodies are not eligible for the contest.
- Participants must submit a photo of their best experiences based on the selected category.
- Only one entry per student is allowed for this contest.
- All entries must be submitted online at our website (http://www.berjaya.edu.my/cruiser) before 12.00am on 13th October 2009. Late entries will not be entertained.
- All photos and text submitted for the contest will become the property of BERJAYA UCH.
- Photos must be related to the category selected e.g. Hospitality: ‘Hospitality At Its Best’, Tourism: ‘Discovering Malaysia’, Culinary: ‘Arts Redefined’, Services: ‘Exceed Expectations’ or the submission will be disqualified.
- Each photo must include a short article between 100-120 words about your personal experience.
- 10 grand prize Winners will be selected based on creativity and originality.
- a)Winners who pursue a full-time diploma programme will be entitled to a tuition waiver valued at RM 7,000. b)Winners who pursue a full-time degree programee will be entitled to a tuition waiver valued at RM 10,000.
- The tuition fee waiver is valid for Jan, April and August 2010 intake only. Not applicable for Foundation or Integrated English Programmes.
- All participants will receive a RM3,000 tuition fee waiver to be able to further their studies at BERJAYA UCH except for the 10 grand prizes winners.
- Winners are entitled to ONE tuition fee waiver only.
- The successful applicant is required to pay all fees due, after deduction of the tuition fee waiver upon registration. Failing which, the fee waiver will be considered null and void.
- BERJAYA UCH reserves the right to review the fee waiver awarded. Fee waivers may be withdrawn in the event of gross misconduct or failure to meet the required academic grades as stipulated in the respective award or any breach of the terms and conditions of the letter of award.
- All selected winners will be notified by post and announced on www.berjaya.edu.my/cruiser within one (1) month after the submission deadline.
- The fee waiver awarded is not exchangeable for cash. The fee waiver shall be in the form of tuition fee waiver (unless otherwise stipulated).
- The fee waiver is applicable for new full time students of BERJAYA UCH for 2010 intakes.
- In the event the student withdraws from the course before completion, BERJAYA UCH requires the student to reimburse the tuition fees waived.
- BERJAYA UCH reserves the right to use the name, address, photographs, particulars and/or documents of all winners for the purpose of advertising and all other forms of publicity from time to time. The winners may be required to attend a prize giving ceremony and/or participate in any publicity programmes.
- The application will be approved based on the applicant’s actual results (SPM, STPM or any other high school qualification). Winners must fulfill minimum entry requirement as set by the BERJAYA UCH or the fee waiver will be considered null and void.
- BERJAYA UCH and BERJAYA Cruiser Crew reserves the right to end the promotion at any time during the promotion period.
- BERJAYA UCH, all its promotion partners and other parties involved in the promotion, including their directors, officers and agents are not liable in any ways for the following: a) any additional expenses incurred by participants for taking part in the promotion; b) any sort of technical failure; c) intervention by unauthorized parties during the promotion; d) electronic or human errors in the administration of the promotion and processing of entries; e) any entry that is lost, stolen, damaged, wrongly delivered or not received.
- By participating in this ‘BERJAYA Cruiser Photo Contest’, each participant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts the terms and conditions of the promotion and the decisions of judges are final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
- BERJAYA UCH may at its sole and absolute discretion amend the terms and conditions set herein without prior notice.
