Located within the Golden Triangle and supported by an extensive range of transportation choices, BERJAYA UCH’s location is perfect for students who want convenient hospitality opportunities under one roof. The School of Culinary Arts specifically is designed for students who have an interest in pursuing a profession in the exciting world of gastronomy. The most important classroom - that being the kitchens, have been individually designed so as to encompass practical areas of hot and cold Western cuisine, traditional Eastern cuisine, pastry and baking, butchery as well as larder. In order to have a thorough learning experience, each kitchen layout is fully equipped to handle specific cuisines and cooking methodologies - even surpassing the standards of those in 5-star hotel kitchens! To ensure a more rounded student with additional knowledge, hospitality management studies such as human resource management, costing and accounting, customer relations, marketing and kitchen designs are incorporated into the School of Culinary Arts.

Professional Expertise
Teaching and training at BERJAYA UCH is supported by staff and academics that are very experienced and have indulged in the culinary industry for many years. Most of our chefs have worked in the hotel industry and bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge to the teaching environment. Many have been trained overseas and have been exposed to the latest culinary developments and trends that have far reaches when it comes to being in the fore front of culinary excellence. Here, chefs are also encouraged to engage themselves in research and development which augurs well with the future of students’ learning in conducting research. For those who are more business minded, they may also be trained to run and operate their own businesses in the near future.

Hands-On Experience
Truly unique to BERJAYA UCH is the belief that training on the job is the most effective way of learning. At the School of Culinary Arts, all students are required to immerse themselves in the actual operational situation so that the outcome is similar to what is in the real world. Classes are simulated typically in the style of a kitchen with real-life events so that students are able to have hands-on abilities in running and operating.
