Bachelor of Communication students will be armed with cutting-edge information and knowledge, critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, and industry experience, all of which to make students versatile as we prepare them for highly sought after jobs/careers in the communication and media-related industries.



Communication is, of course, a basic part of human interaction in our work, play and daily living. It is also a key engine of growth in today’s global economy. The rise of the communication technology has generated a number of new jobs and careers. At the same time, it has opened up new possibilities to existing jobs and careers like in advertising and public relations. Having a bachelor’s degree in communication will certainly prepare graduates well for interesting and rewarding employment in:

  • the dynamic industry of advertising and branding to give products/services powerful appeal in order to develop an edge over the competition;
  • the world of public relations and persuasion to generate trust and loyalty for corporations among their various publics;
  • the challenging practice of implementing effective and productive communication flow and relationships in organisations like corporations;
  • the changing world of marketing and sales due to the new information/communication technologies that have opened up new approaches and ideas to marketing communication.

  • Pass STPM or its equivalent with minimum Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any two subjects and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR
  • Pass STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR
  • A Diploma or its equivalent with a minimum of CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR
  • A Diploma in Media and Communication/Mass Communication/Public Relations or its equivalent; OR
  • Matriculation/Foundation or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR
  • UEC: Pass UEC with minimum Grade B for 5 subjects;
  • Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis (in accordance with the qualifications that are recognized by MoHE)

January, May and September

3 years inclusive of  internship

You will undergo a trimester of comprehensive training that is especially designed to give you an intensive hands-on learning experience within a challenging work environment in the PR industry.
